TypeScript at Shivacha
Typed superset of JavaScript and our default language for web and Node.js code.
Overview
TypeScript adds static types to JavaScript, catching errors before runtime and making large codebases navigable. It is our default for frontend, Node.js backends, SDKs and Web3 frontends — including shared types between client and server and typed smart contract bindings.
Why we use it
- Catches errors at compile time
- Better refactoring and tooling
- Shared types across the stack
- Typed contract and API clients

React is a UI library; Next.js is a framework built on it. When a plain React single-page app is enough, and when server rendering, routing and SEO make Next.js the better choice.
